Dubbed 77 Wade Avenue, the project is being developed by Next Property Group and is set to break ground this month. Toronto’s 77 Wade is taking a high-tech approach to hybrid construction. This eight-storey, 14 000m² office building blends historic timber construction from yesteryear with the innovative possibilities of today’s advanced wood-hybrid building systems.

“BNC’s office will be among the tallest modern mass timber office and commercial buildings in the country.”

Once complete, 77 Wade will be the tallest mass timber office building in Canada targeting LEED Gold certification. Mass timber is decreasing the project’s environmental footprint through:

  • Local timber sourcing
  • Offsite prefabrication
  • Biophilic design features
